• Water & Health

  • Water is essential to good health and is second most important element after oxygen, for your body. Human body is estimated to be about 60 to 70 percent water. Blood is mostly water, and our muscles, lungs, and brain all contain a lot of water. Human body needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all organs. Water also transports oxygen to body cells, removes waste, and protects the joints and organs.
  • In nutshell, water is crucial for life, but it can and does transmit various water-borne diseases in countries in all continents from the poorest to the wealthiest. Especially, the people living in developing countries are badly effected by the dangerous after-effects of drinking contaminated and polluted drinking water.
